Customizing your policies and procedures manuals
Since labor costs represent the largest cost component of most products, the way we can offer low-cost products involves allowing our customers to do the work themselves. But editing documents - particularly very large and complex policies and procedures - lies outside of the skill set of most mortgage industry personnel. To facilitate your efforts we have provided this customization guide for you; a manual for customizing your manuals!!
How to Edit Your Manuals - Customer Guide |
We can assist with basic customization of your policies and procedures, including the addition of logos and company names, as a basic value added service. For more detailed assistance, we provide the Detailed Customization Process.
Detailed Customization Service
Customized Products are those that rely on so much 3rd party information (such as servicing - software platform dependent; secondary marketing - hedging strategy dependent) that a generic solution is not in the customer's best interest. We provide a "Generic Customization" service that allows us to combine the parts which are generic with your specific business model.
We don't have to write these products from scratch - we can pull material from literally thousands of pages of inventory material we have developed over the past decades.
Some examples are:
Business Plan/Annual Reports
Stand-Alone Training Programs
Commercial Lending Policies and Procedures
Construction Lending Policies and Procedures
The Customization Process
Our staff can assist you best once you identify the scope and breadth of the project. Once there is clarity, we enter into a three stage process:
Stage 1 - Project Formulation
All of the elements of the project are listed
Client provides all internal elements - software, forms, existing procedures, and other relevant material
A logical organization of the contents is drafted - resulting in an outline or table of contents
The scope and timing, based on the contents, is determined
Contract is executed
Stage 2 - Project Development and Delivery
The documentation is merged into a full project, based upon initial design
Demonstration module is assembled and delivered to client to review
Stage 3 - Project Finalization
The client reviews entire package
Comments on deficiencies, additions or deletions
Project is completed
Project is deployed
Client takes delivery of all material, media and product
