In 1992 we started our business helping banks, credit unions, mortgage companies, homebuilders and real estate companies start their own financial services businesses.  This experience taught us that most companies do not have written policies and procedures in place.  Since that time we realized that all companies benefit from having internal policies and procedures to maximize efficiency.  

Many companies have hired consultants outside of the mortgage industry to develop written policies and procedures - often paying tens of thousands of dollars because they had to pay to educate the consultant.
